hey i don't have much time so I'm thinking i'll write you a handwritten letter later. But i did get the perfect push ups. I think you should get me a phone card cause I don't know what I'm doing and I need one that i can call Andrea and Matt on so that would be a great idea. But it sounds like you have been having fun with missionary mom. I wrote Brad and Kelli a letter so tell them to watch for it.

First and foremost did you get my last letter I mailed you I’m curious cause I have zero faith in today’s mailing system!! I told you all about my investigators. They’re pretty cool. But I did get your Valentines package on Friday so it got here in perfect timing. So the district ahead of us just left today so we are now the bigdogs at the mtc. MY whole district is surprised that I dodged the bullet -- they called new district leaders and zone leaders and I’m not one. Hallelujah or however you spell that.

We get a fresh batch of new elders this Wednesday so that should be exciting to meet a new batch. Dad I guess there is some confusion to when I’m leaving -- a bunch of people say the 8th and some say the 1st so we’re not sure when are. Branch President is supposed to figure it out. We all have our fingers crossed for the 1st. but I have no clue about visas I’m assuming everything is gonna be alright but I have no clue they haven’t told us anything so nobody knows how it works.

Mom I don’t think I need anything at this point or at least that I can think of package wise. Times finally winding down and I can’t wait to get to the field but I really wanted to see Reed and Kyle. I saw Brian Buckner the other day and actually taught him the first lesson in Tagalog I made my teacher let me teach him and he was like heck ya just don’t speak English and you can teach him so I got to talk to him a bit it was way cool. he looks different for sure. but I want to see Reed or Kyle because I want to give them my investigators because when I leave I’m worried that no one is gonna take up the slack and get things done with them.

I cant believe the Olympics have started -- I’m so bummed I mean I’m so depressed that I’m not going to get to watch the figure skating! I don’t know how I’m gonna sleep at night knowing that I’m missing it. (If you can’t tell that’s sarcasm) I guess that’s one thing I’m not gonna miss. But I don’t know what else to say really. I hope you guys are having fun.

o I almost forgot dads question – in the rc people call or are referred to us then we basically keep calling them back. sometimes it’s been like 5 years since they called and sometimes its preachers that called to get a free bible to give to people or to use and stuff so its pretty hard to find people that actually care but the old ones or the people that can’t speak English very well I find are the humble ones that want to talk. Its mainly just being nice and get talking to them till they like you then from there start talking about the church. but anyways - I’m running out of time I have to write ang still

Okay! So I have lots to tell you but I’ll answer all the questions first. The language is coming good – we don’t speak English anymore except on Mondays so it was pretty quiet for a couple days but it’s getting much much better. But I’m not sick anymore which is nice and I already bought all sorts of medicine to take to the Philippines.

I looked all over for Reed and Kyle and couldn’t find them. I was going to give them my new investigators. : ) (I’ll tell you about them in a sec.) Just cause I won’t be here much longer and it’s hard to teach and learn the language. I had class the time they came but I had time to look and didn’t see them anywhere.

I write a short talk every Sunday cause they call you up at random and everyone is supposed to write one. But I never get called it’s such a waste of time though. We need to spend all our time getting ready but they make us write these talks. But oh well – I guess but I’m upset I missed the Super Bowl Party. I did get a Tagalog Book of Mormon but nothing else. I guess it’s best to get them in the Philippines otherwise they’re just weird ones here. They gave us a water filter water bottle. Just like the one dad got from you. Oh – I’m supposed to tell you to send me pictures of hunting and everything else. Everyone has all these pictures up and I have none. But Dad you better get the cabin done this summer so we can have it all ready when we get back. Yep – land of the water buffalos can’t come quick enough!!!

Now for the Investigator stories …
The lady I was talking to in the RC I had to turn over to the missionaries in that area. So they better not mess it up. But my new investigators are… Fodsay – he is a pretty cool guy. He doesn’t speak English very well which can be challenging but at the same time it has made him humble. He lives somewhere in the south. I don’ remember where but his dad died and he was having a hard time with it cause they lived together. I taught him about the Plan of Salvation and how families can be together forever. I call him tomorrow to see if he got the Book of Mormon I mailed him and to teach him all about the restoration. I guess he has ?s about it. Margaret _______ is my other investigator. She lives in Texas. She is a Presbyterian and her family isn’t close to her and she is pretty old. She just likes to talk so I don’t know if you can call her an investigator. I mean I share messages with her but she never asks questions and when I ask her ?s she always says “Well, I don’t know – what do you think?” She’s funny. Lisa _______ is the last one and she’s pretty cool. She has 2 kids that go to a Baptist thing after school. But they aren’t members and they don’t go to church but she told me she wants her kids to be taught about God but she doesn’t wanna talk to live missionaries. She just wants me to call her – I guess the missionaries intimidate her. But this week I’m gonna teach Lisa about the Restoration more and Margaret about the Plan of Salvation. Hopefully I can get both of them to let the missionaries come. Fodsay had missionaries over and I want to make sure that went good. Oh Well – I’ve got to get going! Have a good week!

so I wrote a letter to you guys last week. Did you get it? I’m starting to think the mail service doesn’t work around here! Seriously but who knows i sent a few letters out but I’ve never got anyone to write me back so I don’t know if nobody is getting them or what! Anyways this week was the same as always. but I’m half way done with the mtc which is way nice! i cant wait to get out there and start doing the real thing! Anyways not alot happened this week so I really don’t know what to say and you must not have got my letter cause your email didn’t comment on anything I wrote you. But that’s way cool Brian is back sounds like he had fun. I can’t wait to get out there though. Hope you guys are enjoying yourself!

ps: mom if you could I want you to buy me things that are called perfect pushups. I would like a set before I leave for the Philippines they will fit in my back if you can get them that would be awesome!

ps: o I forgot to tell you I’ve been sick since last Tuesday so it hasn’t been to pleasant but I think I’m getting better. this kid in my zone I guess is sick too and he’s been to the doctor 2 times already and cant get better. so I hope mine doesn’t last as long as him but I’m sure I’ll be better by next week. My companions also starting to get sick I think.
